Online coaching classes for adolescent girls to prepare for job oriented competitive examinations.

Lack of proper guidance, non-existence of coaching facilities in villages and poor financial conditions are some of the major hurdles which restricts aspiring girls of rural areas in achieving their dreams of getting govt. jobs. Since this requires cracking tough competitive exams, it is difficult to do so without proper guidance and coaching. Urmul Setu Sansthan with support from MCKS trust fund has initiated online coaching classes for the girls from disadvantaged rural familieswho have completed their higher education and are preparing for different competitive exams like Patwar, police constable, BSTC ( Basic school teacher certificate), B.Ed, forest guard, banking sector jobs. Competent subject teachers have been hired who develops topic wise videos which are shared with the girls via WhatsApp group which are linked to YouTube channel. The girls watch and learn from these videos and if they have any doubts it is cleared next day during a separate live interaction session conducted on zoom/google meet.They have also been provided with notes (hard copies) on these subjects for reference.

a) Identifying and selection of needy and eligible girls for enrolment in coaching classes.
b) Facilitating the process of preparing online lessons as per the examinations, holding doubt clearing classes.
b) Onsite technical and academic support to students by project staff.

354 rural and needy girls are enrolled and are attending the coaching classes to prepare themselves for job oriented competitive examinations. These girls are also visiting village level libraries setup by Urmul to refer competitive books to improve their knowledge. The family members are also supporting these girls by providing them with space and time for their studies.
